Responsibilities

The Photo Editor will be responsible for culling and organizing large photo galleries before beginning the editing process.

The role involves editing and retouching images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, including colour correction, colour grading, exposure adjustments, white balance, sharpening, and cropping.

The successful candidate may also remove distractions and minor imperfections from photographs when required.

Editors must maintain a consistent editing style across galleries and export finished images according to specific project requirements.

The role also requires meeting editing deadlines, communicating progress regularly, and following appropriate file management and backup procedures.

Requirements

Applicants should have proven experience editing professional photography and be proficient in modern photo editing software.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of colour, composition, image quality, and professional photo editing techniques.

The successful candidate should be able to match an existing editing style while maintaining consistency across an entire gallery.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills are essential for this position.

Applicants should have a reliable internet connection and a computer capable of efficiently handling large RAW image files.

Experience with wedding, portrait, or event photography is an added advantage.

Knowledge of skin retouching techniques, experience with AI-assisted editing tools, and the ability to manage high-volume workflows efficiently are also preferred.
