Primovet Engineering Limited is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to support its engineering team on construction and related engineering projects.

The opportunity is suitable for an NYSC member or recent Civil Engineering graduate who wants to gain practical experience in construction, engineering project delivery, and site operations.

The internship provides exposure to both field-based construction activities and the technical and administrative tasks involved in supporting engineering projects.

The intern will work under the direction of the engineering team while developing practical knowledge of construction processes, material requirements, quality checks, documentation, and project reporting.

The role provides an opportunity to develop practical knowledge of site supervision and project management processes.

Interns will also gain experience with material estimation, quality control, technical coordination, documentation, and reporting.

Through participation in project activities, interns can develop a better understanding of how construction projects are planned, supervised, monitored, and managed.

The position can also help recent graduates build practical engineering experience and become familiar with the communication and record-keeping processes used on real projects.

Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer Intern will assist with construction and engineering project activities under the supervision of the engineering team.

The intern will support site supervision activities and gain practical exposure to construction operations and project management.

The role also involves assisting with the estimation of materials required for different project activities.

Interns will support quality control activities on construction and engineering projects and help ensure that project activities are properly monitored.

The successful candidate will collaborate with members of the engineering team on technical tasks and other project-related assignments.

The intern will also contribute to project documentation and reporting, helping the team maintain accurate records and communicate project updates.

Requirements

Applicants must be NYSC members or recent graduates with an academic background in Civil Engineering.

Candidates should hold a B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering.

Applicants should be willing to learn and develop their engineering skills through practical project experience.

Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos and participate in construction and technical assignments.

Good communication skills are required, as the intern will work closely with members of the engineering and project teams.

Applicants should be able to work collaboratively, follow project-related instructions, pay attention to details, and remain willing to learn during site and technical assignments.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
