TAP IT Ventures is hiring a creative, organised, and proactive Social Media & Events Assistant to support social media activities and assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of online and offline events.

The successful candidate will combine strong social media skills with excellent organisational and communication abilities to help maintain an engaging online presence and support successful events.

In this role, you will create engaging content, manage social media activities, coordinate event logistics, and provide administrative support to ensure promotional activities and events run smoothly.

The position is part-time and remote, with compensation of up to ₦80,000 per month.

Responsibilities

The Social Media & Events Assistant will assist with managing social media accounts and maintaining a consistent online presence across relevant platforms.

Responsibilities include creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content, as well as developing ideas for captions, graphics, short-form videos, and promotional materials.

The successful candidate will research relevant trends, hashtags, topics, and audience interests while monitoring comments, messages, and engagement.

You will also help maintain a content calendar, repurpose existing content for different platforms, track basic social media performance, and support campaigns for events, webinars, and services.

For events, the candidate will assist with planning and coordinating webinars, meetings, workshops, networking events, and promotional activities.

The role may also involve researching venues, platforms, suppliers, speakers, and other event requirements, as well as managing invitations, registrations, reminders, and attendee communications.

The successful candidate will coordinate with speakers, guests, team members, and other stakeholders while preparing event schedules, checklists, and supporting materials.

You may also assist with setting up and testing online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, providing logistical support during events, collecting feedback, and assisting with post-event reporting.

Requirements

Applicants should have previous experience in social media management, digital marketing, event coordination, administration, or a related field.

Candidates should have a good understanding of major social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to write engaging captions and professional social media copy.

The role requires good organisational and time-management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Applicants should be comfortable using online meeting and event platforms and have basic knowledge of Canva or similar content-creation tools.

Candidates should also have good computer skills, be able to conduct online research independently, and work effectively in a remote environment without constant supervision.

Experience with Canva, CapCut, social media analytics, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools, webinars, or virtual events will be an advantage.

Photography, video editing, or graphic design skills are also desirable.

The ideal candidate should be creative, dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative.
