Requirements

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, although fresh graduates and candidates with 0–1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.

Candidates should have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

The role requires basic knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and automation testing concepts.

Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or JMeter is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of API testing, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, or databases is also beneficial.

Candidates should have strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into meaningful test scenarios.

The successful candidate should be able to communicate technical issues clearly, work independently in a remote environment, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Additional advantages include experience with Git/GitHub, Jira, Trello, ClickUp, CI/CD pipelines, or personal, academic, internship, or freelance projects involving software testing.

Key Responsibilities

The Software Tester will perform manual testing of web and software applications across different browsers and devices.

Responsibilities include creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, test plans, and checklists.

The successful candidate will perform functional, regression, integration, UI, usability, and exploratory testing.

The role also involves identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs with clear steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, screenshots or videos, and severity.

Other duties include retesting fixed bugs, maintaining testing documentation, assisting with API testing, and supporting improvements to QA processes.

The candidate may also develop basic automated test scripts, participate in Agile/Scrum activities, and work with developers to investigate technical issues.
