About the UI/UX Designer Role

Propertix is seeking a skilled and creative UI/UX Designer to support the development of a cross-platform mobile application for a group-based savings system.

The platform is being designed for users in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, making a smooth, secure, accessible, and intuitive user experience an important part of the project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a beautiful and user-friendly mobile app interface while also developing light mockups for a simple administration dashboard.

The designer will work closely with the developer to understand the application flow, user journeys, and functionality before translating these requirements into practical interface designs.

The role is offered on a hybrid remote basis in Abuja and is available as a full-time or contract position.

Responsibilities

The UI/UX Designer will collaborate with the development team to understand the application’s flow and create designs that provide a clear and enjoyable experience for users.

The successful candidate will create wireframes, low-fidelity mockups, and high-fidelity designs for the React Native-based mobile application.

The designer will also create interface concepts and light mockups for the React Web-based admin dashboard.

Key screens will include login and registration, group creation and invitations, member onboarding, contribution tracking, reports, notifications, and payout summaries.

Designs should be responsive, accessible, easy to navigate, and consistent across the different sections of the application.

The designer will also develop reusable UI components and design systems that can help maintain consistency throughout the product.

The role includes creating a clickable prototype to demonstrate important user flows and interactions before development.

The successful candidate will continue collaborating with the development team during implementation to support UI handoff, answer design questions, and make improvements based on feedback.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in mobile app UI/UX design and be able to demonstrate their skills through a strong portfolio.

Experience designing mobile-first fintech or social applications is highly relevant to this position.

Candidates should be proficient in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools. Experience with Figma for at least 3 years is required.

The successful candidate should understand design systems, accessibility principles, and user-centered design practices.

Applicants should be able to meet deadlines, respond positively to feedback, and iterate on designs throughout the development process.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are also important, as the designer will work closely with developers and other project stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience designing fintech, savings, cooperative, or financial management applications will be an added advantage.

The ability to identify usability challenges and suggest design-based improvements to the application’s user experience will also be valuable.

Additional experience in graphic design is considered an advantage.
